Unfortunate flooding may occur in your home or business and we want to make sure that you know how crucial it is to dry the structure and contents as quickly as possible to help avoid additional damages. You can trust that Emory Plumbing will take care of your water damage while doing our best to salvage as much of your personal belongings and property as possible. Our highly qualified team will solve the problem while making sure you’re informed about the differences in clean water verses dirty water and the steps it takes to remove and repair all damaged materials from your home or business. Our team is expertly trained in carpet and structural drying.
Flooding doesn’t always require a new carpet installation. While it depends on the type of water that causes flooding damage, carpet can often be saved with only the padding under the carpet needing replacement. A moisture reading is done to determine the extent of saturation. Once we know the extent of the damage, and the type of water flooding the structure, our expert technicians will recommend a dry-out or replacement based on their findings.
The frame and dry wall of a structure can also be damaged in a flood. In order to dry out and maintain the quality of those areas, it is sometimes necessary to remove small or large portions of dry wall, depending on high and how long water has sat on the floor. Some of the insulation may be removed as well. This process helps everything that has become saturated to dry thoroughly so that the potential for mold, or should there be preexisting mold, can be treated properly and there are no future issues in the quality of the air in your home or business. Ultimately it is our goal to dry your damaged area fast with the least amount of demolition to prevent any further damage or contamination. Should there be any drywall damage or other damages associated with the flood, we do have drywall specialists and a general contractor on our team that will put your home back into its original condition.
Hardwood floors can be saved as well depending on the type of flood you had in your home and how quickly we can start the clean out process. If the water on your floor is considered clean water, a specialist will install a “rescue mat”. By placing this on your hardwood floor this will help minimize your hardwood floors from buckling. This is a tremendous benefit because the cost to save the floors from water damage is cheaper than having to replace the flooring when it comes to labor and materials costs. But if you are unable to get a technician out there in a timely manner, be assured that Emory Plumbing’s heating, fire, flood & mold specialists can still extract the water from your home. We also have expert flooring specialists on our team that can replace any and all types of flooring.
Our San Diego water damage technicians are experts in this industry and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us if you want the best service with peace of mind. Education and certification is acquired by the leading institution, (IICRC) Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration.
